Abstract
This article describes political matter in a work of literature. The study applies structural and pragmatic approaches. Political analysis is undertaken on the theory of politics involving nation, authority, decision making, policy, and alocation or distribution. Result of the study demonstrates that nation in a work of literature could be a modern form of nation or a kingdom, which perform legislative, executive and judicial rights. Any abuse of these rights by the authority will lead to the misery of the society. On the contrary, good governance will result to the prosperity of the society. Nevertheless, commonly, policy determination and decision making are performed on the basis of political interest. The Indonesian government in the era of the New Order did not carry out fair and just distribution or alocation on the abstract and concrete values, therefore the Indonesians lived inappropriately. This triggered misery and suffering for the entire Indonesian society, specifically for the lower and poor society. Frequently, the authority and the elite politician perform authoritative, immoral, insatiable, despotic, and inhumane governance.
